A story about a mysterious, dog-killing creature was making the rounds on the internet today, especially because a pretty clear photo of the alleged beast was reportedly captured while it was on its rampage. The animal, described as being half-dog and half-human, bears a striking resemblance to what a lot of people think of as el chupacabra, the goat sucker of Central and South American legend. Most of those cases turn out to be canines with the mange, and this creature does, admittedly, look a lot like a dog with mange. However, proving there is some hope for humanity, not everyone on YouTube thought this was a weird cryptid monster. Nope, they’ve taken a bullet for me and watched the Harry Potter movies, so that I didn’t have to, and they immediately identified the creature as a werewolf from the Harry Potter films. It’s amazing what some basic Photoshop skills can do these days.
A mysterious “half human, half animal” creature has been caught on camera after it was said to have savaged two dogs.
The beast is reported to have been spotted prowling through the streets of Santa Fe, Argentina.
The photo was taken after it was said to have butchered a German shepherd and a pit bull.
Some locals likened the creature to a camel because of its long neck and small head.
It was uploaded to the YouTube channel UFOmania, and has now been viewed more than 30,000 times.
One person commented: “I saw one of these things in 2005, it was crossing a bridge and we came upon it.
“It blew my mind because it looked at us and turned and began moving just like a kangaroo would and cleared the concrete bridge wall easily and dropped at least 15 to 20 feet.”
Another added: “Here in the Philippines it is called ASWANG — a man transforms into a monster dog.”
“It is a demon, it can even shift into a cat or a big bird.”
But one user insists it is a Chupacabra, a vampire-like creature with strong roots in Latin folklore.
This story is a perfect example of “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.” The photo just seems too good to have been an actual image of an unknown creature. And as you can see below, the image manipulation wasn’t even all that creative.
