Rob Gronkowski is Afraid of Ghosts

Rob Gronkowski, for those not in the know, is the tight end for the New England Patriots. He lives, eats, and breathes football. He’s nigh unstoppable on the football field. He’s also the new cover athlete for Madden NFL 17. My fiancée (pictured below because she insisted – how adorable is she?) is obsessed with him and enjoys loudly yelling “Gronk!!” during Patriot’s games. And other teams’ games. And during Red Sox games, for some reason. Anyway, on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Gronk admitted that he’s afraid of ghosts. Rob Gronkowski, a man with the fearless, youthful exuberance of a 9-year old and the hulking, muscular body of a large Sasquatch, is afraid of ghosts.

Rob Gronkowski kittenNew England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night. However, he had an issue with his accommodations in Los Angeles. The hotel Kimmel put him up at while he’s in town for the show is haunted. And, Gronk is afraid of ghosts. He doesn’t like being home alone because of them.

Gronk calls the hotel “scary.” He couldn’t sleep well.

Gronk survived his first night in the hotel. But, he had a second night ahead of him.

The topic came up when Kimmel asked Gronk if he believes in the Madden curse. The tight end is on the cover of ‘Madden 17.’ Gronk says he’s gracing the cover because he doesn’t believe in the curse. He wouldn’t have accepted it if guys like Odell Beckham Jr. and Richard Sherman hadn’t proved the curse has been lifted in recent years. Both players had successful seasons following their respective covers.

Gronk didn’t mention which hotel he’s staying at for obvious reasons but it’s a long-standing rumor that the Beverly Hills Hotel is haunted by the ghost of Marilyn Monroe. Maybe Marilyn just wanted to party with the token NFL party boy?

Gronkowski also talked his nude photo shoots with GQ, his party cruise, and more.

Personally, I don’t think I’d ever be able to tell if a hotel was haunted or not, they are just too noisy for me. The most scared I’ve ever been in a hotel was while I was staying alone in Falls Church, Virginia on business (I know, what an exciting life I lead), and there was a legit drug deal going down in the room adjoining mine. With that little connecting door and everything. I was convinced I’d be shot through the wall. Which then I guess would make me the ghost haunting the hotel…
