Bigfoot Proof Coming Soon?

Ok, so I have been blogging lately about this new show set to air on Animal Planet called Finding Bigfoot. It has me pretty excited, and some other people seem to be excited as well. I came across this blog post today on the Ringside Report, which is…well, it’s a blog about the world of boxing. So yeah, I’m not sure why they are talking about Bigfoot, but here’s what they are reporting.

Animal Planet has recruited the best Bigfoot researchers in the world for the new series” FINDING BIGFOOT. It will be a six part series following a team of Bigfoot researchers as they cross the country in search of the elusive man-ape.

The BFRO Team is made up of a former roadie, a teacher of science, a skeptic, and the BFRO President.

With the birth of this show, rumors have begin to circulate, with the biggest and most sensationalistic one being that the researchers found concrete evidence supporting the existence of Bigfoot. With hair, plaster casts, recordings, video, and more, it’s hard to imagine what they found outside of a body, and some people have said that it is exactly what they discovered.

Now to be honest, I haven’t heard a peep yet about anyone finding a Bigfoot body, or any proof related to this show as of yet. The Ringside Report (I’m sorry, but I can’t get over the fact that a boxing blog is talking about Bigfoot) doesn’t name any of their sources for this, so I’m wondering if they are just stirring the pot a bit themselves. If a body has been found, perhaps the reason why nobody else has really caught wind of it yet is because they want to avoid another Bigfoot Hoax of 2008. Remember those knuckleheads Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer, who put a gorilla costume in a cooler with some entrails and claimed it to be Bigfoot? (Also, Loren Coleman has an excellent telling of how the story unraveled over at his blog Cryptomundo). So if there is a story here, time will tell. Until then, I’m going to err on the side of caution and not fully buy into this story…which was posted on a boxing website. Ahem.
